The concept for Orijen is simple: include the fresh, whole foods that nature evolved dogs and cats to eat (in correct ratio and quantity), and exclude ingredients like cereal grains that are not part of the natural diet.
Orijen dog food is different from many other brands you'll find on pet store shelves. Only fresh ingredients are used. Orijen uses low temperature steam processing to create its products. Many other dog foods are subjected to high temperatures during processing, which destroys some of the original nutritional properties of the ingredients.
